An introduction to Dext cloud accounting software

4 October 2024 cloud.mgr.co.uk No comments yet

If our last article got you crazy for your business’ app stack potential, then you’re in for a treat today… Introducing Dext, your cloud accounting software’s new best friend.

Dext offers three main products; Dext Prepare, Dext Precision, and Dext Commerce, each helping business owners and accountants to streamline various tasks, so that they’re able to prioritise strategic planning and analysis of results.

But what could they do for your business? Sit with us, as we guide you through Dext’s modern accounting toolkit…

Dext Prepare

Dext Prepare allows you to automatically capture and analyse data from purchase and sales invoices, so that you don’t need to type it all out yourself. It also allows you to revolutionise your expense process, providing a system that can replace any manual process. There are a range of ways to use Dext Prepare, whether you opt for submitting invoices via the mobile app, by forwarding emails or fetching invoices automatically from accounts with larger suppliers!

Dext Precision

Mistakes in data can cause unforeseen damage not just to your business, but for your clients or customers as well. Like the name suggests, Dext Precision mitigates this risk by scouring data for any discrepancies and alerts you to them. This allows you to begin assessing your business’ data with confidence from the get-go, safe in the knowledge that you can correctly invoice and charge for your services.

Dext Commerce

If you work in e-commerce, then Dext Commerce is bound to revolutionise how you run your business. The software retrieves itemised transactions from retailers, marketplaces, e-commerce platforms and many more, before converting it into a standardised format that covers the sales, expenses, refunds and reimbursements involved in the transaction. This information then exports to your cloud accounting software automatically. If your business is scaling with high volumes, transactions can also be pushed to Xero in bulk ‘roll-ups’.

Dext is just one example of cloud accounting’s app stack potential! Our Cloud Specialists offer bespoke app advisory services, helping you to diagnose the pain points in your business and create an app stack tailored to your needs.
